Skateboarding has a long and complex history.
It has evolved from a little known hobby, practiced by California teenagers in the 1970s, to a popular international sport.
Today Central Coast resident, and retired skateboard champion, Jack Smith showcases that rich history at the Morro Bay Skateboard Museum.
Established in 2014 the museum has relics from all of the great ages of skateboarding, from 1920s scooters, to the world’s second largest skateboard.
Correspondent Rebekah Nolan talks with Mr. Smith about the history of skateboarding and his plan to skateboard across the country for the fourth time this September.
