Fifty years ago this month, half a million young people gathered on a farm in New York for the Woodstock Music Festival. KCBX shares the stories of San Luis Obispo County residents who were there.

In this segment, we hear from BJ Semmes of Atascadero, Bill Seavey of Cambria and Alice McNeely of San Luis Obispo—all three were living on the East Coast in the summer of 1969.

Carol started as a newsroom volunteer at KCBX in the summer of 2017, inspired by her daughter's internship with KCBX News. She joined the KCBX staff in 2018 as a substitute host, and became the local host for Morning Edition in 2020.
