In response, Spokes has compiled a set of special resources to assist in navigating these challenges.This session will walk nonprofit CEOs, executive directors and managers through those resources specifically related to human resource/personnel issues. Facing displacement, watching your homeland suffer from afar. Arsen and his family fled the war in Ukraine after their home city of Kharkiv was devastated. Facing impossible choices along the way, Arsen was separated from his family, and after a long journey ended up in SLO County thanks to a Humanitarian Parole visa, a program now suspended.

Sylvia Jiang is a young concert pianist from New Zealand, Davis Reinhart is a composer from Buellton and is the co-founder and President of the non-profit organization, Muffin Music Inc.Donations gratefully accepted to support the work of Muffin Music in providing artistic and musical opportunities to youth on the central coast.

Join Growing Grounds Nursery for our Everything Edible plant event. This annual, family-friendly, Spring celebration will have everything you need to get your garden growing!
Seven CCGGA member nurseries throughout Nipomo and Arroyo Grande will open their doors to the public to raise money for their scholarship fund. Several growers will offer nursery tours of their facilities, in addition to their highly anticipated local plant and flower sales. This is an opportunity for the public to visit with growers and learn firsthand, how to care for the outstanding plant and flower products that these nurseries are selling.Each participating nursery proudly donates a portion of that day’s sales to the CCGGA Scholarship Fund, which is made available to Horticulture students and CCGGA grower members’ children. Nurseries open for tours & plant sales will be: Altman Plants, Ball Tagawa Growers, Cal Coast Orchids, Eufloria Flowers, Holland America Flowers, Native Sons and Ocean Breeze.
This program is especially designed for beginners who would like to learn to recognize the beautiful birds of the Botanical Garden and the Central Coast. The morning of the workshop we'll have taxidermy specimens, a slide presentation, and lots of time to ask questions. We'll provide you with handouts to help you with your notes. Please bring binoculars if you have them. We will have a few loaner binoculars and a variety of guidebooks to assist you. Bring a lunch, snacks, and bottled water. Dress for the weather.
