Land Conservancy of SLO County

A San Luis Obispo County park is one step closer to fruition. In the second phase of a three part plan, The Land Conservancy of SLO County acquired 750-acres stretching from Del Mar Park in Morro Bay through Alva Paul Canyon.

An art exhibit showcasing paintings of beautiful local landscapes will also provide an opportunity for people to support land conservation throughout San Luis Obispo County. It will be at the Octagon Barn, a historic building in SLO, on August 9 and 10.

A ranch in San Luis Obispo County spanning thousands of acres will now be protected.

The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County has received a $360,000 grant from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The agency said the goal is to preserve about 300 acres of San Luis Obispo County land and its surrounding ecosystem.
