The Isla Vista community was on alert Monday night as Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies and UCSB Police searched for a person thought to be connected to a shooting earlier in the evening.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m., less than a block from the UCSB campus. Deputies say they were called to a residence on the 6500 block of Sabado Tarde after a report of shots fired during a domestic dispute.
Three men in their 20s were found injured there and taken to the hospital, according to a report by Kelly Hoover with the Sheriff's Office. Hover said one of those men is a suspect as well.
The man who was on the run Monday night, fled the scene in a white four door sedan. A bulletin sent out by the UCSB Alert system said he was last seen driving toward Highway 217.
The UCSB dorms were initially placed on lockdown with a "shelter in place" order given, but that was lifted just before 9:00 p.m.
