Santa Maria Police arrested a 13-year-old boy last night after a high speed chase that ended in a Michael's craft store.
Officers say the boy ran a red light and then drove the vehicle into the store, stopping about 30 feet into the building.
Major structural and merchandise damage was reported within the store at 1934 S. Broadway in Santa Maria.
Police believe the car was stolen prior to the chase.
They booked the boy in juvenile hall for evading a peace office and reckless driving, among other offenses.
