A fire Thursday morning in Pismo Beach caused roughly $100,000 in damage to a pizza restaurant on Oak Park Boulevard.
Cal Fire says a call came in around 9:20 a.m., and with the help of Five Cities Fire the emergency crews had the fire knocked down by 10:30 a.m.
Despite the costly damage to Sam's Giant Manhattan Pizza, the fire department says more than $1.2 million was actually saved from flames.
A mechanical issue is being blamed for starting the fire.
