Pacific Wildlife Care: Helping Our Wild Neighbors

Broadcast date: 2/25/16

Pacific Wildlife Care is the primary resource in San Luis Obispo County for wildlife concerns.

Pacific Wildlife Care (PWC) takes in over 2,200 animals each year of over 140 different species. In addressing this need PWC has rescued, rehabilitated, and released thousands of wildlife over the past 25 years. Learn what we can do as a community to ensure that as many of these animals as possible return to the hills and waters of the Central Coast.

Join host Fred Munroe as he speaks with Claudia Duckworth and Virginia Flaherty with Pacific Wildlife Care as they discuss how they support San Luis Obispo County wildlife through rehabilitation and educational outreach and their vision of a community aware of and responsive to wildlife and wildlife issues.

Central Coast Voices is sponsored by ACTION for Healthy Communities in collaboration with KCBX and made possible through underwriting by Joan Gellert-Sargen.

Fred Munroe is a co-host of the KCBX talk show Central Coast Voices, heard every Thursday afternoon from 1:00-2:00. Fred has successfully divided his time as a local entrepreneur, political leader, and communicator. He owns and manages two local firms addressing personal travel planning and public transportation; Travel With Fred and Ridership Development Consultants.
