The southern half of California—including a large chunk of the Central Coast—continues to struggle with extreme drought conditions. Technically, much of the area is listed as D4 by the U.S. Drought Monitor, the most serious of levels.

Mychal Boerman is with the City of San Luis Obispo's Public Utilities Department and joined Issues & Ideas to discuss the current water storage situation for the City, as well as the most recent usage statistics.
