Another candidate is joining the race to represent the Central Coast in Congress.
Steve Isakson, an independent from Atascadero, joins five others competing for the 24th District Congressional seat.
He said he is collecting signatures to place his name on the ballot and is also taking steps to register with the Federal Election Commission.
He said he expects to be complete with the process in the coming days.
