Broadcast date: 5/25/17

The Honor Flight Network, is an organization created solely to honor America's veterans for their service, by transporting our heroes to Washington D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials and recognize the ultimate sacrifices of their friends who never made it home. They transported 20,558 veterans in 2016 alone to Washington, D.C. to see their memorial. More than 27,272 more are still on a waiting list.

Join host Fred Munroe as he is joined by guests from the Central Coast Honor Flight Network , in observance of Memorial Day, by board members Bear McGill and Bruce McGrath, as well as WWII Veteran and past honor fight recipient Bob Busick as they discuss the significance of these trips and how they work to serve veterans of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.

Central Coast Voices is sponsored by ACTION for Healthy Communities in collaboration with KCBX and made possible through underwriting by Joan Gellert-Sargen.
