A Haunted Hike in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada

Ghostly tales told in St. John Newfoundland, Canada
Rebekah Nolan

Newfoundland has a long and rich supernatural history. This island, suspended in the North Atlantic is said to be home to ghosts, fairies and the occasional witch.

The St. John’s Haunted Hike, run by storyteller, and folklorist Dale Jarvis celebrates the supernatural tradition of the city.

This ghostly walking tour takes visitors on an extraordinary tour of the city, recounting tales of murder and ghostly apparitions that are as old as the city itself.

The tour provides a unique perspective of the aptly named “City of Legends”.

Come along and join Rebekah Nolan, Associate Producer for the NPR podcast Journeys of Discovery with Tom Wilmer as she visits with Mr. Jarvis about the haunted hike, as well as the supernatural belief of Newfoundlanders.
