Former Cuesta College employee accused of stealing data arrested Monday in Paso Robles

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office

The Former Cuesta College employee who investigators say used the school's computer system to download her fellow-employees information was in police custody Monday afternoon.

Investigators say some of the information Lacey Michelle Fowler illegally collected included social security numbers, birthdates and mailing addresses.

The former Human Resources Analyst was arrested last month and, after posting bail, failed to appear in court in early July. An arrest warrant was issued for Fowler last week.

Officers caught up with Flower Monday afternoon on Capital Hill Road in Paso Robles. She's being held on $727,000 worth of warrants and charges.

Cuesta College employees who may have had their information compromised during the data breach are being offered a year of identity protection through the college.
