Check your freezer: Major recall of frozen fruits and vegetables expanded

Flickr user: Steven Depolo

The frozen vegetables and fruits covered under an expanding voluntary recall by CRF Frozen Foods affects products sold in all 50 states and several Canadian provinces.

The Pasco, Washington-based company said earlier this week that it's performing this voluntary recall in cooperation with the FDA and the CDC because these products "have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes."

This expanded recall of frozen vegetables includes all of the frozen organic and traditional fruit and vegetable products manufactured or processed in CRF Frozen Foods' Pasco facility since May 1, 2014.

All affected products have the best by dates or sell by dates between April 26, 2016 and April 26, 2018.

There are more than 350 consumer products sold under 42 separate brand names affected.

CRF Frozen Foods has set up a consumer hotline for those with questions: 844-483-3866
