Achadjian's congressional campaign scores endorsements from every Republican in the Calif. Assembly

Every Republican currently sitting in the California Assembly is getting behind Central Coast Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian (R-San Luis Obispo0 in his bid for the 24th Congressional District.

There are 28 seats held by Republicans currently in that chamber—and all are endorsing Achadjian.

The San Luis Obispo politician is hoping to replace Rep. Lois Capps in Washington D.C., when she retires at the end of her term next year.

The 24th District includes all of both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties, and a small portion of Ventura County in the mountains.

Achadjian is one of two Republicans in a field of five people running for Capps' seat.

In a poll conducted back in late July by Lake Research Partners for Santa Barbara Mayor Helene Schneider's campaign, Achadjian led the pack followed by Schneider. However, nearly two-in-five voters were still undecided at that time.
