Gene Strohl

Host of Composer's Parade

Gene Strohl has been hosting the  COMPOSER'S PARADE since 1981.  He developed a love for classical music in his late teens, and he never ceases to find new inspiration and enjoyment in it, and loves nothing more than sharing that love with his listeners.  Composer's Parade usually highlights the life and work of a single composer, often one who does not receive as much exposure as the "warhorses."

Gene has also been active in education (teaching high school for 25 years), and in local theater as both an actor and director.  He also occasionally hosts talk shows on KCBX, involving current events, politics and books.
