If you are contemplating the sale or purchase of real estate,
you may have an opportunity to save money on the transaction through
participation in the KCBX Realtor Pledge Program. At the same
time, you can help support KCBX Public Radio.
The program was designed by KCBX and local real estate broker
Randy Steiger, who believes
that public radio is an important part of the quality of life
on California's Central Coast.
Save money on your transaction:
When buying or selling real estate, you will encounter many
associated costs. Title searches, property inspections, pest inspections,
repairs, cleaning services, home warranty contracts and travel
expenses usually figure into your final buying or selling costs.
We have contracted with several local companies to discount
their fees to you when you handle your sale through the KCBX Realtor
Pledge Program. Depending on how many of these services you use
from participating vendors, you could save at least $250 -- and
probably much more. That's money that stays in your pocket! Here
are some of the participating vendors:
- FIDELITY NATIONAL TITLE: $75 credit to client in escrow
- BARRY STONE-ACTION
HOME INSPECTION: $50 credit to client in escrow
- TOM WILMER CONTRACTOR; license #B491299: 10% of total
fees to be credited back to client at close of escrow. All charges
to be paid out of escrow.
- BREZDEN PEST CONTROL: $40 credit to the client through
escrow for home pest inspection.
- BUYER'S HOME WARRANTY: Call for current benefits
Participating vendors may be subject to change. Please
call 781-2119 for the most up-to-date information.
Support KCBX at the same time:
But that's not all. Randy Steiger has pledged a minimum of 10%
of his net commission as a gift to KCBX to be made at the close
of escrow. So you can have the satisfaction of knowing that your
real estate transaction will benefit public radio on the Central
Coast of California.
How the program works:
If you are interested in buying or selling property through
this program, you need to register your intent through KCBX. You
may contact KCBX Development Director, Paul
Severtson, or General Manager, Frank
Lanzone, or contact Randy
Steiger directly.
Once you have registered, Randy Steiger will arrange to meet
with you for a non-binding consultation. If your transaction qualifies,
you will have the opportunity to contract for his services according
to normal business procedures.
At the close of escrow, you will realize the savings from associated
costs, and Randy will make his gift to KCBX. If you wish, you
can be acknowledged on-air for your part in the gift.
