Dimension is a biennial exhibition of fine craft featuring artworks created from clay, fiber, glass, metal, paper, and wood by artists living in California. This always popular exhibition will be on view in the Museum’s Gray Wing through mid-February.
This year’s juror is Peggy Sivert Zask. Ms. Zask currently operates the Zask Gallery in Rancho Palos Verdes as well as serving as an important figure in the founding of South Bay Contemporary Art Museum. She was educated at CSU Long Beach and CSU Dominguez Hills. The artwork of Peggy Sivert Zask begins with traditional materials like clay, wood, metal or canvas. Strongly conscious of the environmental impact of consumption, she chooses to work with found objects or reworks existing artworks rather than starting with new materials.
Dimensions received over 130 artwork submissions, of which 51 were juried into the exhibition.
