Ring in the New Year with other City Farm SLO volunteers. Help prepare the School Garden for a new growing season at the first Work Party of the year. We’ll be planting winter season row crops and completing a perimeter deer fence around the crops and gathering spaces.
Learn what veggies and herbs grow best locally during the winter and spring along with the varied tasks and skills that it takes to maintain a small farm.
Crops grown in the “School Garden” are harvested by our student programs and donated to local charities throughout the year. Help your neighbors to support urban agriculture and make good on that New Year’s resolution to stay fit and get involved in your community!
This event for all ages. Farm-grown snacks will be provided. Bring gloves and a water bottle, wear protective shoes, dress for varying weather, and enjoy a day on the farm.
City Farm SLO hosts a Volunteer Work Party on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Mark the date and watch for other public events, like a Spring Fling and the Fall Harvest Festival.
