S. Maria: PCPA is seeking young performers for the upcoming holiday production of Peter Pan, with auditions scheduled for this Sunday afternoon. Girls who look to be between the ages of 10 to 12 and boys who look to be between the ages of 6 to 12 will be considered. Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, September 5 from 1 - 5pm at the Columbia Business Center, 900 E. Stowell Rd, Santa Maria, CA (behind Costco) Room #18.   No Appointments.  Young performers should be prepared to sing 16 to 32 bars of any song. Bring sheet music – no recordings – an accompanist will be provided. Children will be seen in the order they arrive. Rehearsals for Peter Pan begin September 28. S. Maria: PCPA Theaterfest Presents  “Songs for a New World” at the Marian Theatre through August 21st and then at the Solvang Festival Theater August 27 – September 12 Songs for a New World …. An exploration – through music – of life’s emotions: risk, fear, hope, dreams, love. The composer says: “It’s about one moment. San Simeon: The Central Coast Alternative Fuel Car Show is held at the Hearst Castle Visitors Center Parking Log next month on October 3 from 1 to 4 in the afternoon. Everyone is welcome, the event is free. SLO: For all of you movie buffs and fans out there, Bryce Wilson, film columnist for the New Times, hosts a new monthly film series at the  San Luis Obispo Library based upon his "Blast from the Past" articles. This free program takes place the last Saturday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the SLO Library, 995 Palm Street with this Saturday starting things off, on August 28, 2:00 p.m. the next two movie dates are September 25,  2:00 p.m. and October 30. SLO: Plan ahead for October 20 when the San Luis Obispo Association of Realtors hold their annual charity golf tournament, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting 2-1-1 in SLO County. It’s during Oktoberfest at Dairy Creek on Wednesday, October 20, and the fun-filled event is open to the public as a "4 person scramble" with a shotgun start at 11AM.
